Damah (“Damah” in Hebrew means “metaphor” or “parable”) is an international short film festival that launched in 2001 in Seattle, Washington. In 2019 following a long run in Los Angeles and Hiroshima, Japan, Damah was relocated to Tokyo, Japan’s capital. It is the goal of the festival to showcase filmmaker’s work on the big screen and to share their meaningful stories with audiences. Taking place in the heart of Tokyo and boasting an impressive panel of Hollywood jurors, Damah has emerged as one of Japan’s most exciting Short Film Festivals. ダマー（ヘブライ語で「隠喩」「たとえ話」の意）は、2001年にワシントン州シアトルでスタートした国際短編映画祭です。 ロサンゼルスと広島での開催（2000年～2013年）を経て、2019年に東京に移転しました。 選りすぐりの作品を大きなスクリーンで紹介し、その意味深い物語を観客と共有することがこの映画祭の目的です。東京の中心で開催され、ハリウッドの著名なプロデューサーらによる審査を特徴とし、ダマーは日本で最もユニークな映画祭のひとつになりました。 ダマーはあなたの物語を大切にしています。
Our Hope Award honors cinematic works that embody the essence of resilience in the face of adversity, courage in times of uncertainty, and the unwavering belief in the transformative power of hope. Whether through inspiring narratives, uplifting characters, or poignant storytelling, these films offer a ray of hope that transcends borders, cultures, and languages. To be eligible for the Hope Award the film is required to be under 5 minutes in length.
